I started turning wrenches at 17 in my uncle's small garage in Karachi. Twenty years and 2,000+ rebuilt engines later, I still get excited every time I pull apart a new powertrain. There's nothing quite like the moment a rebuilt engine fires up perfectly on the first try.

I've worked on virtually every make: Japanese (Toyota, Nissan, Honda — my comfort zone), Korean (Hyundai, Kia — surprisingly well-engineered), German (BMW, Mercedes, Audi — beautiful engineering, expensive mistakes), and the occasional Italian exotic. Every brand has its quirks, and I've seen most of them.

What I love most is solving the problems other shops give up on. The intermittent misfire that comes and goes. The transmission that shifts hard only when cold. The check engine light that flashes once a month. These are puzzles, and I enjoy solving them.
